We take sustainability seriously. That’s why we installed a 133-kilowatt solar array on our roof — no grants or subsidies, entirely from our own pocket. When constructing our current building, we invested in the most energy-efficient equipment available. From LED low-power lighting to the overall design, our facilities are built to reduce our energy footprint significantly. This not only reduces our carbon footprint but also sets a precedent in our industry for self-sustained renewable energy projects.
Understanding the impact of our daily operations, we stopped using standard paper cups for our extensive range of coffee products and switched to bamboo biodegradable cups and lids. Similarly, our coffee pods are designed to break down without the need for special compost facilities. All food packaging we use is fully recyclable, demonstrating our commitment to minimizing waste at every level of our production.
On top of reducing plastic waste, we’re also serious about reducing food waste. We are proud to be one of the largest contributors to The River Food Pantry, donating over 122,000 pounds of food annually. We love to help those in need within our community — and it’s even better when we can reduce food waste at the same time.
Sustainability and community involvement continue to be a top priority for us. To be a little cliche, we recognize that true sustainability is not a destination, but a journey. As we move forward, we are committed to innovating and adopting new practices that reduce our environmental impact and enhance our community involvement. By staying at the forefront of sustainable practices and making meaningful contributions to our community, we ensure that our growth aligns with the well-being of our planet and the people we serve.
