Mike Swanson, founder and current CEO of AtlantisValley Foods, LLC, began his career in the employee food service industry at an early age, growing up in his parent’s business. Today, he brings over 50 years of experience, creativity, and innovation to our company and customers. Upon divestiture from prior companies in 2007, Mike founded AtlantisValley Foods hoping to reinvent the employee food service industry, replacing vending machines with a creatively developed and uniquely differentiated concept. This company is a pioneer in the use of the Valley Micro Market concept, disrupting the old vending model and delivering a workplace dining experience at that is tangibly improved. Currently, AtlantisValley Foods provides a complete bundle of services, including Hot and Cold Beverages, Pantry, Valley Micro Markets, Onsite Cafeteria/Dining, and Full-Service Professional Catering to over 400 customers.
Mike continues today as CEO supporting the third generation of family ownership and Executive Management; Co-Presidents Erin Swanson Singer and Michael Swanson, Jr.
Michael grew up working alongside many of the current AtlantisValley Foods staff, taking roles in food service and vending in the family's previous companies. After a 14-year active career in the US Navy, Michael returned to the Madison area to join the new AtlantisValley Foods venture. He is currently Co-President along with his sister, Erin.
Growing up, Erin’s first jobs were working in the office, commissary, or warehouse for the family’s food service companies. Erin gained additional experience working in arts administration in Chicago before returning to the Madison area and the family business.
